Installing Google Play Store in your Amazon Fire Tablet

Amazon Fire tablets need to have the playstore manually installed to have access to Google Play Store Apps.

Step 1: Enable apps from unknown sources

Go to Settings > Security and enable “Apps from Unknown Sources”. 

Step 2: Download the APK file to install the PlayStore

For these last two applications, click the link for your device, then select the version closest to the top of the list which doesn't have "beta" in the name. Again, don't open the files and ignore messages about newer versions being available.

Step 3: Install the APK files you downloaded

Open the apps in the below order, and when the installation is complete, tap Done. Do not tap Open. The Play Store will not work if apps are installed out of order. If you have an SD card, take it out during these installations.

  2. com.google.android.gsf
  3. com.google.android.gms
  4. com.android.vending
